Wow, I just found this site: POTTERMORE which is an online Harry Potter "experience" due out in October for everyone (and some gaining entry beforehand). With the last movie coming up, I was becoming a bit wistful. The Harry Potter saga can't be finished, I thought. And then, in a random suggestion by twitter, I found Pottermore. Yessss, the magic isn't ending after all!
For me, Harry Potter spoke to that little girl inside me, the one who believed in unicorns, who dressed up like a witch every Halloween, who read every fairy tale she could get her hands on, and who dreamed of living in a castle. It also spoke to the adult me, which still believes in unicorns, reads fairy tales, dreams of castles, and has a couple of pointed hats tucked away should the need arise <<:-]
I know...I can't wait to see it, but am also sort of sad. I'm like that with a lot of things. Even with friends, like you, I'll be having a wonderful time talking, sipping tea, searching for sea glass, or simply taking a walk and then I'll think, "Oh dear...our time will be over soon." It's my little girl who wants the playdate to never end! Miss you. Aloha!
ReplyDeletePottermore does sound rather interesting, and I'm curious to see what it will bring to the table for the world of electronic publishing.
